Beautiful Brusho

Beautiful Brusho

Hello Stampers!   One of the awesome products introduced in Stampin’ Up!’s latest Occasions Catalog was the Brusho Crystal Colour. It is so fun to play with! And that’s what you have to: Just play with it!   Brusho Crystal Colour is so versatile. It can be used in many different ways to create backgrounds and washes. You just have to give it a try and not be afraid to make a mess. For this card, I heat embossed the flower image from the Beautiful Day stamp set in white embossing powder on Stampin’ Up!’s Watercolor Paper. I then sprinkled the Prussian Blue Brusho onto the image, spritzed it with water, and just let it go. You’ll get...

You’re the Sweetest!

You’re the Sweetest!

Hello Stampers!   I was on a roll while playing with Stampin’ Up!’s Fruit Basket Bundle offered in its Occasions Catalog. (If you like, get it now. It retires the end of May!) I made several cards of different designs, and this is one of them.   I just love all of the fresh fruit images and the festiveness of the Tutti-fruitti Designer Series Paper. Not to mention the little punches are super cute! (I used the half-circle punch to cut the orange slice images from the Designer Series Paper.)   This card features a tag created with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and the colors of Peekaboo Peach (retiring) and Sweet Sugarplum (retiring).   See a...

Fruit Basket Friend

Fruit Basket Friend

Hello Stampers!   Sharing a cheery card for a friend using the Fruit Basket Stamp Set and Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack. This suite of fun, bright, and coordinating products can be found on page 29 of Stampin’ Up!’s Occasions Catalog.   There are a lot of really fun items that coordinate with the stamp set including the Tutti-fruitti 6 x6 Designer Series Paper featuring fruit motifs, the Tutti-fruitti Classic Stampin’ Spots (one each of Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede, and Lemon Lime Twist), Tutti-fruitti Washi Tape and more.   What’s really fun is stamping the fruit shape and being able to punch it out with the coordinating punch!  ...

Fun Treat Boxes

Fun Treat Boxes

Hello Stampers,   Even though Stampin’ Up!’s Acetate Card Boxes are designed to hold cards and envelopes they have many other uses. Here, I’ve cut one in half and used Designer Series Paper to decorate as a treat holder. Reminds of the old cassette tape holders!   I’ve found that chewing gum packages fit inside as well as 6 Hershey Nuggets or a Kit Kat bar. You could also add a small sticky note pad and mini pen. Lots of possibilities!   Measure the box and cut in half while it’s still flat using a scissor or other cutting device. (My Stampin’ Trimmer wasn’t able to complete the job.)   The Designer Series Paper as cut at 4 3/8 by 4 5/8 and...

Creating Spring with Colorful Seasons

Creating Spring with Colorful Seasons

Hello Stampers!   I’m trying to force spring with this card showcasing Stampin’ Up!’s Colorful Seasons stamp set and Emerald Envy. Here in Nebraska, we’ve had three days in the seventies and tomorrow we are expected to get snow! Yuck! Bring on spring and summer and the green leaves.   On a Whisper White card stock base (5 x 3 ¾) I stamped the solid large leaf from Colorful Seasons many times with Emerald Envy ink, creating a background. I then used the outline stamp and stamped over the leaf with Archival Black Ink.   I layered that stamped piece onto Silver Foil (5 ½ x 4). I wrapped a piece (about 5 ¼ inches) of Emerald Envy Crinkled Seam...
