Sending Hope

Picture

Hello Stampers!

A few years ago, I became involved in an organization called Chemo Angels. This group assigns “angels” to people going through chemotherapy  treatment. Each week, or a couple of times, a week, I send a card or a small gift package to let the patient know I’m thinking of them and that they’re not alone.

My current “assignment” is facing the challenges of breast cancer. I got out Stampin’ Up!’s Large Letters Framelits Dies, the Ribbon of Courage stamp set, and Support Ribbon Framelits to create a card I can send this week. I hope my notes, cards, and packages make her days brighter!

Pick a Pumpkin

Picture

Hello Stampers!

Halloween is less than two weeks away! I need to get my pumpkin purchased. The last couple of years, my husband and I waited until the last minute to get the pumpkin, and we ended up driving around  town searching for a stand that had some left! I try to hold off purchasing the candy until just a day or two before. Much too tempting to eat it all!

This quick and  cute card features Stampin’ Up!’s Spooky Night Designer Series Paper. This sample shows examples of three of the fun designs included in this 12 x 12 package. What’s really cool is the pumpkins can be cut from Designer Series Paper with the dies from the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits Dies . How fun is that? No fussy cutting here!

Eclipse Love

Hello Stampers!

I got on the eclipse card bandwagon! Friends of ours are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary and I wanted to make a special card. I used silver embossing powder with the heart from the Bloomin‘ Love set and die cut the letters with the Large Letter Framelits. I inserted them back into the card using Stampin’ Up’s mini dimensionals. The sentiment comes from the very versatile Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Of course, I had to create a gift box to accompany it. The Pizza Boxes work well here. I used the Large Numbers Framelits to create the 25. It is layered on the Silver Foil Doily, black card stock and Silver Foil paper. A gift card fits nicely in the pizza box.

I hope our friends enjoy their special day!

Mini Pizza Box Halloween Treats

Picture

Hello Stampers!

I enjoy making a variety of treats to give to friends, customers, class-goers, and team members. Stampin’ Up!’s Mini Pizza Boxes make it super easy. You get eight boxes for $6, and they have a food safe inside. I created these for my October local team meeting. It was really fun putting together a couple of different designs using the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper. So many options for both the outside and inside. These 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 boxes hold 3 x 3 note cards, gift cards, candy, and much more.

A couple of cool things about the Spooky Night paper.

1) There are two 12 x 12 sheets of cat images which can be punched out using the Cat Punch.
2) Do you see the tree image on the box second from left? That image can be cut from the paper. (You get 16 just from one sheet.) Then all you need to do is stamp the owl. I used Basic Grey on this owl.
3) The pumpkins on the box on the far left are die cut from the paper using the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits Dies. So cute and so easy.

As I mentioned, I gave these to my team members at our recent meeting. Do you have a long wish list? Would you like to receive a minimum 20 percent discount on your stamping/crafting products? Purchase Stampin’ Up!’s Starter Kit and become a part of my team. For $99 you choose $125 worth of any Stampin’ Up! product and it’s shipped free. Painted Autumn Get Well

Picture

Hello Stampers!

Isn’t this Designer Series Paper gorgeous? It’s Stampin’ Up!’s Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper. And, it’s just one sheet of 12 different designs! What is even better is that this package of 12 x 12 double-sided paper is part of this month’s Buy Three Designer Series Paper, Get One Free promotion. Just in time to create all of those fall cards or build those scrapbook pages.

I also used the Vintage Leaves stamp set and coordinating Leaflets Framelits to create the fall leaf using the baby wipe technique. I squirted Stampin’ Up!’s ink refills onto a baby wipe and let the colors meld. I “stamped” the leaf onto the baby wipe and then onto the Very Vanilla card stock. It’s an awesome technique. You cannot make a mistake, and each leaf is unique. Any of the colors in the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper would work for this: Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Garden Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Peekaboo Peach, Soft Sy and Tangerine Tango.

The paper sale runs through October 31. View the flyer below to see which papers are included in this sale. It’s a great time to stock up. Share with a friend.
