For me, one of the joys of the holiday season is receiving holiday cards and updates from friends and family. It’s also fun to design and send my own cards to offer greetings of the season.
Stampin’ Up! offers a host of stamp sets, ink, paper, and embellishments to make an array of holiday greeting cards – from clean and simple to complex. Here, Angela Schmit uses the Snowflake Sentiment stamp set with its coordinating Swirly Snowflake Thinlits Dies. It’s such a pretty card! I am so excited to share my very first video with you! I created a short video showing you how to emboss the front of Stampin’ Up!’s Acetate Boxes (10 for $6.50 in the Holiday Catalog). It’s a simple and fun technique to dress up the boxes.
(One disclaimer: In the video, I call the embossing folder the incorrect name. I actually used the Holly embossing folder found in Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Catalog.)
The acetate boxes are awesome filled with four to five handmade greeting cards and envelopes to give as a gift, but there is so much more you can do with them. For my team and classes, I used several of Stampin’ Up!’s embossing folder to enhance the boxes. I then filled them with a hot chocolate packet, a treat tube stuffed with marshmallows, and two chocolate/peppermint stir sticks.

Sharing the third card I received in the mail this week. Karen Page used a number of Stampin’ Up! elements to create this elegant card. She used the polished stone technique on the leaf and then die cut it with the Leaflets Framelit. She also used the Seasonal Layers Thinlits and die cut a leaf from Gold Foil. So pretty! The sentiment is from the Painted Harvest stamp set.
