Hello Stampers,
If you’re like me, your crafting space is littered with pieces from an assortment of projects. Sometimes, I scoop them into a pile and deal with them later.
But, this time, I began to put a few of the pieces together, and this is the card that grew from that.
It started with a piece of whisper white card stock cut at 5 inches by 3 ¾ inches. I embossed it with Stampin’ Up!’s new Lovely Floral Embossing folder.
I then used a circle die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and die cut a piece out of the middle of the embossed sheet.
I used the Sponge Brayer to apply Melon Mambo ink to the back side of one of the new Pearlized Doilies.
Before attaching any of the elements, I stamped the thank-you sentiment from Floral Phrases in Black Stazon onto the whisper white card front.
I then attached the white front to a black card stock piece measuring 5 ¼ x 4 , wrapped a 22-inch piece of basic black baker’s twine around the card twice, and tied a bow in the front. I then adhered this whole piece to a Melon Mambo card base.
From here, I applied a bit of SNAIL adhesive to the back of the colored doily and placed it in the “hole,” covering the black dead space. I used dimensionals on the back of my Lovely Floral embossed circle and placed it on top of the doily, trying to line up the images. I suppose this could be some version of the eclipse technique.
I’ve included a supply list at the end of this post. Each graphic takes you directly to my online store if you’d like to purchase any of the products used to create this project.
Thanks for stopping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about how I created this card.

Hello Stampers!
One of the awesome products in Stampin’ Up!’s new Annual Catalog is the Stamparatus, a unique stamp positioning tool. Priced at $49, it’s designed for use with both the photopolymer and red rubber clear mount stamps. With a base measuring 7 inches by 7 inches, it features two removable hinge plates that lend themselves to two-step, three-step, and even four-step stamping. The hinges allow for a new technique we’re calling “hinge-step stamping.” I used this to create the card in the post.
I selected the happy birthday stamp from the Perennial Birthday stamp set and Stampin’ Up!’s new In Colors of: Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Blueberry Bushel, and Lovely Lipstick.
I placed my piece of card stock cut at 5 ¼ by 4 in the corner of the Stamparatus, using one magnet at the bottom of the sheet. (Note: The magnets are super strong. Be careful that the two magnets – stored on the bottom of the Stamparatus – don’t meet. They can snap together and break. SU! does sell replacement magnets.)
I formatted my stamp on the clear plate making sure it would land exactly where I wanted it to on the paper, inked the stamp, and closed the plate onto the paper.
I cleaned the stamp with a piece of my Stampin’ Shammy (yes, I cut it into pieces).
I lifted the plate from the base, moved it one notch down, inked the stamp in Grapefruit Grove, closed the plate to stamp onto the paper, cleaned the stamp and repeated the process to include all five of the In Colors.
I’m thinking I’m going to produce a Facebook Live video for this technique. It’s a bit difficult to explain on paper. I’d love to answer any questions you have. In the meantime, check out Stampin’ Up!’s Stampartus video below as well as a list of products used to make this card.

Hello Stampers,
The card I’m sharing today is a result of a team challenge I participated in. We were instructed to use black and white and one additional color. My additional color is Tranquil Tide.
I used one of the new bundles in Stampin’ Up!’s catalog—Rooted in Nature. The stamp set is an awesome complement to one of our long-standing sets, Lovely as a Tree. Rooted in Nature also has the coordinating Nature’s Roots Framelits Dies. Paired, the two lend themselves to a lot of possibilities. I’ve also used the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder for the background and added Linen Thread and Rhinestones.
Have you seen the new catalog yet? If you don’t currently have a demonstrator, let me know. I can get a catalog to you.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Hello Stampers!
There are so many fun, new items in Stampin’ Up!’s catalog, it’s hard to choose what to use first. But, as a demonstrator, I was able to get some of the product early, including the Rooted in Nature stamp set and the coordinating Nature’s Roots Framelits Dies. Purchase the stamp set and dies together and receive a 10 percent discount on the bundle.
The suite also includes the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper and the Nature’s Twine. (There are also some fun Leaves Trinkets available that I didn’t use on this card.) All of the elements make it easy to create beautiful and thoughtful cards.
Here, I started with a base of Rich Razzleberry card stock and added a piece of Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper measuring 5 ¼ x 4. I stamped the tree stump image in Soft Suede on a piece of Whisper White card stock cut at 4 inches by 3 inches. I then heat embossed the Thinking of You sentiment in white on top of the stump. On a separate scrap of Whisper White card stock, I stamped the tree image in Tranquil Tide and die cut it with the corresponding image. I adhered the tree stump stamped image to the Designer Series Paper and then to the base. I wrapped a Rich Razzleberry piece of Nature’s Twine and tied a box in the front. I then used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the tree up on the card front.
I hope you’ve had a chance to look through the new catalog. Here’s a link to a PDF version. If you don’t currently have a demonstrator and wish to have a hard copy, please message me.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Hello Stampers!
I have good news, and I have sad news! Which do you want to hear first?
OK! The good news: Stampin’ Up!’s new Annual Catalog debuts June 1. That’s less than one week away. It’s filled with all kinds of new stamps, papers, and colors. There’s so much to share.
The sad news: In order to make room for new product, some things have to be retired. If you want to add any of these to your collection, you need to get them before May 31.
I really had fun with the Birthday Memories Suites. I love the Designer Series Paper (it’s now on clearance for just $7.70) because you can use the Birthday Friends Framelits Dies to cut some of the images – right from the paper. That includes this cute poodle. And guess what? The dies are 25 percent off and are now only $23.25.
This card came together quickly using Stampin’ Up’s notecards and envelopes. You get 20 precut and scored cards for just $6 – that’s only 30 cents per card.
Check out all of the retiring products
here.
Here is a list of all the discounted products. If you love them, get them before they’re gone.
Thanks for stopping by today.
