June Challenge: #simplestamping
Hello Stampers!
A new Stampin’ Up! catalog is so exciting! It’s always hard to know what to order first. The Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and coordinating Magnolia Memory Dies and Magnolia Lane Designer Series paper were the first on my list.
I love large images that become the focus of the card. It makes it easy to create a quick, but still beautiful card, without a lot of fuss and thought.
Stampin’ Up! is challenging us to get back to the basics of stamping: rubber stamps, ink, and paper. This card qualifies for that, and the two-time stamping technique just adds a bit of dimension.
Here’s how this card came together:
Petal Pink Card Stock: Base–8 1/2 x 5 1/2, folded in half. 4 1/4 x 3
Very Vanilla: 5 1/4 x 4 and 4 x 2 3/4
Apply a tiny bit of SNAIL onto the back of the small vanilla piece. Place on top of the large vanilla piece, trying your best to center. Ink the Magnolia stamp with Soft Suede ink. Stamp the image on the top of both pieces of Very Vanilla while they are stuck together. For this card, I tried to stamp the image farther to the left to leave room for the sentiment. Stamp the sentiment with Soft Suede. While the pieces are still together, apply Petal Pink ink (with a sponge) to the flowers and Soft Sea Foam to the leaves. Gently remove the top Very Vanilla piece. Adhere it to the 4 1/4 x 3 Petal Pink paper. Carefully match up the images and adhere to the Very Vanilla and finally, the base.
