Pocket Thoughts Dies for Father’s Day

Pocket Thoughts Dies for Father's Day

Today, I feature an easel card that doubles as a  gift card holder for dad. It uses some products new to Stampin’ Up!’s 2024-2024 Annual Catalog and a returning product. I love how easy it is to create a gift card holder using the brand-new Pocket Thoughts Dies

Pocket Thoughts Dies

Here are some details about how this card comes together:

  • Misty Moonlight card stock base measuring 11 x 4 1/4, scored at 5 1/2 and 2 3/4
  • Misty Moonlight card stock panel measuring 5 1/4 x 4
  • Country Woods Designer Series Paper: 5 1/4 x 4 (bottom) and 5 x 3 3/4 (top)
  • Country Woods Designer Series Paper die cut with the middle die from the Pocket Thoughts Dies
  • Dad sentiment from Trusty Tools stamp set heat embossed in white on Pocket Thoughts Dies die cut
  • Happy Father’s Day sentiment from Trusty Tools stamp set heat embossed on Country Woods Designer Series Paper and die cut with label from Delicate Forest Dies
  • Tools and nuts and bold from Trusty Tools Dies die cut with Silver Foil sheets

Trusty Tools Gift Card Holder

Trusty Tools Gift Card Holder

For today’s project, I used the Trusty Tools stamp set and coordinating Trusty Tools Dies to create a gift card holder for a guy in your life. Just recently, I discovered a bag of empty, plastic chewing gum containers at the back of my craft room closet. These make the perfect receptacles for gift cards.

Here are a few measurements to help you get started:

  • Country Woods Designer Series Paper: 3 three pieces including 4 x 2, 4 x 3/4, and 4 x 2 1/2
  • Country Woods Designer Series Paper for the tag/sentiment measuring about 2 1/2 x 2 1/2
  • Tag border from Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set; sentiment from Trusty Tools stamped in Misty Moonlight, punched with Heartfelt Hexagon Punch
  • Tools from Trusty Tools Dies die cut in Silver Foil
  • Bakers Twine Combo Pack

I think it’s just a super fun way to present a gift card to the special guy in your life.
