In this post, I include the finished product of what I’ve been creating in my craft room in Mesa, Arizona, as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. The ideas start to flow when I get to playing. I hope you enjoy these and are inspired.
The card featured at the beginning of this post uses a fun fold. The how-to video at the end of this post gives the measurements and provides step-by-step instructions, showing you how I put this handmade greeting card together. This birthday card also uses a sentiment from Stampin’ Up!’s Go To Greetings, the “sprinkles” from the Beautifully Happy stamp set, and Enamel Dot Essentials Embellishments.
Here’s a look at the inside of the card.
I’ve created so many cards with the Regency Park 6 x 6 paper, I have some small pieces (strips left). They’re perfect for use with the card below. I pulled the sentiment from the Fragrant Flowers stamp set.
The flowers in the set work well with Stampin’ Up!’s Picture This Dies. Aren’t they fun in this card below? The Regency Park 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper includes flower images that can be punched with the coordinating Petal Park Builder Punch. I grabbed the sentiment form the Something Fancy stamp set.

Chose from five exclusive stamps sets and four packages of 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper. Today, I feature card samples using the Favored Flowers 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper. I think you’ll love the color combination of Black, Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia, and Petal Pink.
At first sight, the paper’s bold designs might seem overwhelming, but once you start working with smaller pieces, the possibilities for gorgeous cards are endless. This patterned paper coordinates with the Fragrant Flowers Bundle on page 21 of Stampin’ Up!’s January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. The Fragrant Flowers Dies coordinate with the Designer Series Paper, allowing you to die cut some of the flowers directly from the paper. This makes it easy to create quick and cute cards.(See the card a the beginning of this post as an example.)
The card below uses the Blackberry Bliss flowers die cut from the paper.
This next sample showcases the beauty of the paper, using just a strip of the flowers and a coordinating background.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these samples. Be sure to watch the video below to watch a card-making demonstration.

Want to use your Boho Indigo Scraps (or any scraps) with a fun embossing technique? Keep reading.
I love Stampin’ Up!’s Boho Indigo Product Medley. Find it on page 9 of Stampin’ Up!’s 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. The Night of Navy and Midnight Muse colors call to me! I’ve used the medley in a ton of card projects. Click on the links below to look at past posts, samples, and projects.
After all of that creating, I have a lot of scraps and small pieces. The technique I show today isn’t new. I resurrected it for this beautiful designer series paper and its scraps!
Using Stampin’ Up!’s 1 1/2-inch circle punch, punch a variety of different designs from both sides of the patterned paper
Arrange the circles onto a a piece of Very Vanilla card stock or Midnight Muse card stock.
Glue the circles down with multipurpose glue. It’s OK if some of them go off the edge of the base.
Let it dry.
Run the whole piece through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine with your choice of embossing folders. I used Stampin’ Up!’s Tin Tile and Dainty Diamonds.
Trim the edges if any of the circles overlap.
Layer onto a coordinating card stock and then a card base.
Add a sentiment of your choice.
You could dress up with ribbon or other embellishments.
Boho Indigo Scraps and Embossing Video
Be sure to watch the video below to see me work through this card. I hope you love this technique. Changing the embossing folders gives your cards a different look. Think of all of the possibilities with all of Stampin’ Up!’s different designer series papers. I’m sure you have a pile of scraps that would worth for this.
