I started playing with Stampin’ Up!’s Hey Sports Fan Suite last week, and I’ve already used a whole package of the Hey Sports Fan 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper. Once I got stamping and creating, the ideas just kept coming. Find this awesome collection of products in Stampin’ Up!’ January-June 2022 Mini Catalog. See this post for additional card samples, ideas, and a video.
Your Biggest Fan Birthday
The card above uses a fun embossing technique.
cut a piece of the baseball-looking paper from the Hey Sports Fan 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper at 5 x 3 3/4 and the die cut it using Stampin’ Up!’s Picture This Dies. The circles remind me of baseballs!
pop the circles out and glue the circles onto a piece of Night of Navy card stock measuring 5 x 3 3/4 inches.
run this whole piece through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine in the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.
add the sentiment (stamped in Night of Navy) from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set
layer on a piece of Poppy Parade card stock measuring 5 1/4 x 4
tie the red/white baker’s twine
include some of the fun Resin Star embellishments.
It’s a fun technique that just gives the card a different look. Here’s a close up look.
One feature I love about the Hey Sports Fan 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper is that many of the sheets include images you can die cut with the Sports Events Dies. I used the coordinating dies to get all of the images. With the pile on my crafting space, I grabbed pieces to create cards and all fun elements. The card above shows how I used some of the fun “ticket” pieces to make a birthday card.
Here’s one more card sample that shows the use of the tickets die cut from the designer series paper.
Here’s another card sample using the tickets die cut from the designer series paper.
Sports Event Dies (purchase the stamp set and dies as a bundle and save 10 percent)
Fan Baker’s Twine (one spool each of Evening Evergreen, Night of Navy, and Poppy Parade/white)
Resin Stars Embellishments.
Hey Sports Fan 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper (love, love, love this paper. I especially love the the coordinating dies cut images directly from the DSP. It makes it handy to have lots of pieces to craft with).
I’ve had so much fun with this collection of products. I hope you’ve enjoyed the samples as much as I’ve enjoyed creating them.

Yes, I know it might seem odd that right before the Super Bowl and the end of the football season, that I’m featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Hey Sports Fan Bundle. Well, I’m looking forward to spring! Living in Arizona, I’m crossing my fingers that we get to see some spring training baseball here. There are a lot of teams to follow, and it’s just a great way to enjoy being outdoors. And, my husband’s family are big baseball lovers. With five brothers and a bunch of nephews, I’ll have card ideas for all of them.
Not only do I love the baseball-themed coordinating products, but I also appreciate that it pairs well with the Hats Off stamp set and Hat Builder Dies found in the Annual Catalog.

I grew up in Fargo, North Dakota, and spent most of my life in the Midwest. Fall always brought the changing colors of the trees and leaves, offering gorgeous views. Since moving to Arizona more than two years ago, fall looks a little different. We still see a few color variations, but not as brilliant as I’m used to.
Even though I don’t experience a “traditional” fall, I still love to create cards and projects commemorating the season that follows summer. For this card, I used Stampin’ Up!’s Picture This Dies in conjunction with the Banner Year Stamp Set.
Picture This Dies Fall Card
This set of two dies offers a unique way to use our rubber stamps. I’ve had so much fun filling the spaces with a variety of images and sentiments. See this post for a variety of other card using the die set.
For me, the Banner Year Stamp Set works perfectly. I can showcase the smaller images, and it covers Halloween, fall, winter, and Christmas.
In addition, I also used the Timber Embossing Folder and a variety of ink pads to create this fun, fall card. Look for a list of supplies at the end of this post.
Also, be sure to watch the video below to see how this card came together.

In my last blog post, I featured a host of card samples using Stampin’ Up!’s Picture This Dies. (Find this set of two dies on page 164 of Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Catalog. It sells for $34.)
These dies offer a multitude of options when creating peek-a-boo cards. However, I also found a way to use the leftover circles and a way to use one piece as a stencil. I call them my Picture This Dies alternates.
In the card above, featuring the Sweet Strawberry bundle, I glued the circles to a piece of Basic White Card Stock. I then ran this piece through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine in the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder, trimming off any pieces that hung over the edge. Do you see that I used another leftover circle as a background for my strawberry?
I love the stitching on the dies as well as the two choices of circles and rectangles.
And, in the card below, I found a way to use the cut as a stencil.
To achieve this look, I cut a piece of card stock to 5 1/4 x 4 inches, die cut with the Picture This Dies (circle). After removing the circles, I placed the die cut on top of another piece of card stock measuring 5 1/4 x 4 inches. With the Blending Brushes, I applied Daffodil Delight ink until I got the right look. The sentiment comes from the Sunny Sentiment stamp set, and I constructed a frame using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
Here’s a video showing how I used the dies in this collection.
