Stunning Stargazing

Stampin' Up! Stargazing

Stampin’ Up! Stargazing

Hello Stampers!

Here’s a second card I created using Stampin’ Up!’s Stargazing stamp set now available in Stampin’ Up!’s new Annual Catalog. Like I wrote in a previous post, I was, at first, stumped at what to create. But I kept playing around, and here’s the result.

I started with a piece of Shimmery White card stock. I stamped the “swirly” image with Versamark ink onto the paper three to four times. I applied the new Shimmer White Embossing Powder and heated with a Heat Tool. I highly recommend purchasing this Shimmer White Embossing Powder. It gives off such a shine! It is definitely a “wow”!

I then used an Aqua Painter and applied a wash of Night of Navy Ink Refill. I let it dry thoroughly before creating the rest of the card.

Some of the other key elements include the use of the Blueberry Foil Sheets from the Noble Peacock Foil Sheet pack and the Twinkle Builder Punch.

Thanks for stopping by today. Click on any of the photos below to be taken directly to my online store where you can purchase the items I used to creae today’s project.

Hubby’s Birthday

Stampin' Up! Enjoy Life and Swirly Frames for Hubby's Birthday

Stampin’ Up! Enjoy Life and Swirly Frames for Hubby’s Birthday

Hello Stampers!

My husband’s birthday is July 24. It happens the same day, year after year. So, why do I wait until the last minute to create a card? I’m usually licking the envelope as he walks in the door from work. I never plan ahead and that leaves me scrambling every single year. Yikes! So yesterday afternoon, I grabbed some remnants left from a class last week and  quickly pulled something together. (He “likes” my Facebook posts, but I’m certain he doesn’t read my blog posts. Let’s hope!)

I had some leftover Blueberry Bushel Foil and a scrap of the In Color Blueberry Bushel Designer Series Paper. He’s a bike rider so I used that for the feature from the Enjoy Life stamp set. The sentiment comes from Ity Bitty Birthdays and the background is from Swirly Frames.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Stampin’ Up! Praiseworthy Prose with Patriotic Theme

I pulled together a variety of elements to celebrate the 4th of July, including Stampin’ Up!’s Praiseworthy Prose stamp set, the 6 x 6 2018-2020 In Color Designer Series Paper Pack, the lovely Blueberry Bushel foil and the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

A couple of notes about this card. I used Stampin’ Writer Markers (Lovely Lipstick and Blueberry Bushel) and colored directly onto the red rubber stamp. I gave the inked stamp a quick “huff” to re-energize the ink before stamping onto the white stitched rectangle. I punched the stars with the Twinkle Builder Punch from the Blueberry Bushel Foil (from the Noble Peacock Foil Sheet pack).

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you’re inspired to create your own card commemorating our nation’s independence. Please let me know if you have any questions about how this card came together.
