Does it shimmer, glimmer, or shine? If the answer is yes, I add it to my cart!
Yes, I’m a huge fan of sparkly, shiny paper for card making. So, of course, I ordered Stampin’ Up!’s Glimmer 12 x 12 Specialty Paper from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog and played with it last week.
I think it pairs well with the Twinkling Lights Dies and the Lights Aglow 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper.
Don’t you just love the green glimmer paper used on the card above? I used that for the tree and vanilla for the snow.
Stampin’ Up!’s Gold Foil also works well with the die cut Christmas tree from the Twinkling Lights Dies.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today! I hope you’re inspired to begin creating your own handmade holiday cards.

I love showcasing holiday cards for Christmas in July! Today’s card features the Christmas Lights Bundle. Find it on page 31 of Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. I initially purchased the coordinating Lights Aglow 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper (DSP) first. It’s just gorgeous with all of its gold accents. Then, I had to have the Christmas Lights Stamps Set and Twinkling Lights Dies. Buy them as a bundle and save 10 percent $45.75 US).
Christmas Lights Card Sample
A few details about this card:
Used a Very Vanilla Thick Card Stock base and a Very Vanilla Card Stock panel measuring 5 1/4″ x 4″ embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.
Layered a piece of the Lights Aglow DSP measuring 4 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ onto a 4 1/2″ x 3″ piece of Gold Foil.
Added a piece of 1 1/2″ x 5″ Gold Foil embossed with the snowflakes from the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder duo.
Heat embossed the snowflake from the stamp set and die cut with coordinating die.
Layered it on a Cherry Cobbler circle die cut from the Stylish Shapes Dies.
Gold heat embossed the sentiment from the Christmas to Remember Stamp Set (available in Stampin’ Up!’s 2022-2023 Annual Catalog).

I initially selected this set because the images lend themselves to all four seasons. (Click here to see another post for samples using this stamp set.)
In addition to using the snowflake image from the stamp set, I used a piece of Designer Series Paper from Lights Aglow (found in the new July-December 2022 Mini Catalog), and sentiment from the Sweet Candy Canes Stamp Set (also found in the new holiday mini).
But what’s most fun about this card is the layout. It’s so adaptable. I challenged my team to use it during our Mystery Stamping at our recent team meeting.
Season of Chic Christmas
The layout is simple:
Card base measures 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″ and folded
A piece of Designer Series Paper measuring 5 1/4″ x 4″
Three squares measuring 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″. I used the square from the Stylish Shapes Dies
Another rectangle measuring 3/4″ x 3″
Embellishments
I had so much fun creating this first card, I made several more using a variety of other Stampin’ Up! products.
Another “Christmas in July” sample, this card features the Sweet Candy Canes Stamp set and coordinating Sweetest Christmas 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper.
The card above uses Stampin’ Up!’s Hippest Hippos Stamp Set. Earn it free during SaleABration for a $50 purchase before tax and shipping.
For this next card, I used Stampin’ Up!’s Sweetest Cherries Stamp Set and Cherry Builder Punch. The Designer Series Paper comes from the Sweetest Christmas 12 x 12 package.
