There’s a lot to love about the Kits Collection by Stampin’ Up!. Not only do the kits deliver a quick and easy all-inclusive project in a box, you have a stamp set and ink spot to help you create other projects. (Remember: now through June 30, the kits in the collection are on sale. Buy one, get one at half off. Click here to see the selection and shop.)
I have ordered several of the kits and decided to try out the Kindness Cards Kit. It contains the ingredients to create eight coaster cards—plus a cute travel-sized tin to hold it all. Each card is a story of kindness you can create and share. I plan to bring these cards with me on my upcoming trip to Colorado and Nebraska to visit team members.
But I’m also excited to show you the alternate above created with one of the stamps from the set. Using the Design a Daydream 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper, this pocket card is perfect for gift cards, small treats, and notes. Earn this as a hostess reward. It’s featured on page 170 of Stampin’ Up!’s 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.
Be sure watch this Facebook Live replay to see how I created this alternate pocket card.

Spring is here, and summer is following quickly! (Especially here in Arizona where the temps are expected to hit the mid-90s. this week) Get prepared for spring graduations and spring and summer weddings.
Be sure to have some gift card holders on hand when you get those invites in the mail!
Paper crafting lends itself to a variety of gift card designs. I’ve shared several different varieties in past blog posts. Check them out here and here.
Today, I offer yet a another design. I grabbed this idea from two of my team members who made cards for our recent team gathering. The card below features a sentiment from the Slim Sayings stamp set and the Hey Sports Fan 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper, both found in Stampin’ Up!’s January-June 2022 Mini Catalog.
Graduation Gift Card Holder Cutting Directions
Start by cutting a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 card stock in half the long way. You have a piece that measures 11 x 4 1/4.
Score this piece at 1 1/4 inches and 5 1/2 inches.
Fold the card in half and then fold the small piece “inside” the card to form a place to hold the gift card.
Decorate accordingly.
Watch the video at the end of this post to see how this one comes together.

I can’t believe Stampin’ Up!’s SaleABration has been underway for a month already! Just one more month left to earn free exclusive rubber stamp sets and Designer Series Paper packages with minimum purchases.
SaleABration has always been my favorite time of the year. When it first started years ago, I saved my Christmas money and my birthday money and splurged during this promotion. I received all of the offerings as well as the host set.
Earn any of the first seven products free with a minimum $50 purchase (before tax and shipping). The last two items on the graphic can be earned free with a minimum $100 purchase before tax and shipping. Collect them all.
Do you have a long wish list from Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Catalog or January-June 2022 Mini Catalog? Have you thought about purchasing Stampin’ Up!’s Starter Kit? Choose $125 worth of ANY product free and pay just $99 + tax (shipping is included). In addition, during SaleABration, choose two additional stamp sets free. This is a great value and a chance to get more for your money.
After purchasing the starter kit, you receive a 20 percent discount on your future purchases. No need to host parties or workshops or sell to anyone — unless, of course, you want to. Just enjoy your discount.
When you buy the starter you kit, you also join a community of like-minded people who share your love of paper crafting. Stampin’ Up! offers a host of benefits to its demonstrators. And, you get to be a member of Kim’s Paper Krafters, my awesome group of demonstrator friends. Contact me to learn more. Or click this link to start the process. This offers ends February 28, 2022.

Be sure to take advantage of Stampin’ Up!’s SaleABration promotion. Receive free, exclusive stamp sets, Designer Series Paper packs, and dies with minimum purchases. The sale ends September 30, 2021. That’s about two weeks away. Who doesn’t love free?
A couple of the offerings coordinate with holiday and winter themes and stamp sets. While you may not be in the mood for holiday crafting now, this promotion offers the perfect opportunity for you to save money on your future crafting.
For the last several months, I’ve been playing with all of the free offerings. I try to make as many cards (as time allows) with the sets, papers, and dies. The Textures & Frames photopolymer stamp set (free with a $50 purchase before tax and shipping), lends itself to a variety of background stamp techniques. See this post for a host of other card examples.
Today’s card uses the Stamparatus, Stampin’ Up!’s stamp positioning tool, to create a fun background for a bright and cheery birthday card. The Stamparatus sells for $49. Add some adhesive or card stock to your order, and you can choose the Textures & Frames stamp set (or any of the other level one choices — free).
Textures & Frames Hinge-Step Stamping
The video below shows how I created this multi-color background with one of the design images from the set. The “candles” use another of the images; I added rhinestones to act as the flames on the candles. I created the different color candles by applying ink from Stampin’ Up!’s Stampin’ Write markers directly to the stamp. The birthday sentiments comes from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. If you live near Mesa, Arizona, I teach stamping classes and host other fun events. Contact me for more details.
