Snowflake Wishes Card Samples

Snowflake Wishes Card Samples

Did you ever stop to think where Christmas in July originated? According to a quick Google search, it found its start in 1933 at an all-girls summer camp in Brevard, North Carolina. They hosted a Christmas in July celebration complete with carolers, a Christmas tree, fake snow, a gift exchange and even a visit from Santa. And it’s now morphed in to a month-long celebration with thoughts of escaping the heat!

I’m following suit and celebrating Christmas in July on my blog this month. Today, I feature Stampin’ Up!’s Snowflake Wishes stamp set and So Many Snowflake Dies. Find the stamp set on page 90 of the Annual Catalog and the dies on page 165.

I really like all of the many and varied snowflake dies included with this set. As you can see with my samples, it offers many, many different ways to use both the stamp set and the dies.

The featured card sports non-traditional Christmas colors. I used:

  • Misty Moonlight for the base,
  • Mint Macaron for the next layer (5 1/4 x 4),
  • Polished Pink,
  • Blushing Bridge (embossed with the snowflake design from the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder set),
  • Misty Moonlight for the snowflake and ink colors.

This card uses even more non-traditional colors: Polished Pink. I just love the In Color Vellum to die cut the snowflakes images.

The “windows” in the Picture This Dies offer a fun way to showcase the snowflakes.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the Snowflake Wishes Card Samples for Christmas in July. Be sure to watch the video below to see how the first card is created.

Warm and Toasty Card Samples

This card uses a Night of Navy card base together with a Balmy Blue accent and the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper.

Whimsical and fun, the super cute animals work well for both kid and adult cards and projects. They also lend themselves well to coloring. Although I used Stampin’ Up!’s Stampin’ Blends, you could also use color pencil, watercolor pencils, Water Painters, Stampin’ Write Markers, or even Crayons to dress us these holiday themed graphics.

Warm and Toasty Card Samples

This guy is just precious. I stamped him with Black Memento Ink and colored him with Stampin’ Up!’s Crumb Cake and Real Red Stampin’ Blends. The sentiment comes from the Banner Year stamp set, and the piece is layered on one of the designs from the “Tis the Season 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper.

Warm and Toasty Card Samples

You can’t get more fun than an ice skating polar bear! He’s colored with the Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends to match the color scheme of the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper.

Handmade Christmas Card Sample

This card features singing mice! I also used the 6 x 6 Christmas Classic Designer Series Paper (available with the new Curvy Celebrations offering). Once again, I colored with Stampin’ Blends. This is just perfect for the piano teacher for whomI created this card. The sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my Warm and Toasty Card Samples. Please let me know how I can help you in your paper crafting journey. If you’re not currently working with a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I’d love it if you would choose me.

Banner Year Christmas Card

A Christmas card using Stampin’ Up!’s Banner Year stamp set.

Banner Year Christmas Card

I chose Stampin’ Up!’s Banner Year photopolymer stamp set as one of my first purchases. Look for it on page 65 of the August-December Mini Catalog. I purchased it because it includes both sentiments for a host of holidays. It works for Halloween, fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day. It’s worth the $17 investment. Purchase it in a bundle with the Banners Pick a Punch and receive a 10 percent discount on the pair.

  • Stitched Shapes Dies
  • Real Red Card Stoick
  • Old Olive and Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pads
