Hats Off Father’s Day Card

Welcome to the May Team Stamp It Blog Hop. We’re so glad you joined us!

This month, we honor the men in our life with masculine-themed cards and projects. Look forward to a ton of great ideas! Be sure to visit each participating blog and leave a comment with the hashtag #stampitcontest. Be entered in a drawing to win a free card kit — Hello Dear Friend.

For this post, I feature the Hats Off stamp set and the Hat Builder Dies available in Stampin’ Up!’s brand-new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. This awesome bundle attracted me right away. My husband’s family lives and breathes baseball! I see me creating a host of birthday cards for the entire family for years to come.

Hats Off Father's Day Card

Hats Off Father’s Day Card

Look for the Hats Off Bundle on page 47. Buy the stamp set and die cuts together and save 10 percent.

This card measures 4 1/4 inches x 4 1/4 inches. I love that it still fits in one of Stampin’ Up!’s basic white envelopes. It also features the paper piecing technique. What is the technique?

I stamped the hat with Night of Navy ink onto both Real Red card stock and Night of Navy card stock and die cut both pieces. Then, with a Paper Snip, I trimmed off the bill of the Night of Navy hat and glued it on top of the Real Red.

To add a little texture to the hat, just like a real one, I ran the hat piece through the Textured Textiles 3D Embossing Folder.

This card also uses the heat embossing technique. I heat embossed the sentiment white powder onto Real Red card stock and die cut with the coordinating piece.

Just think of how you can customize this hat for the team of your choice! You can add letters or images to make it your own.

Butterfly Brilliance Mother’s Day Card

Butterfly Brilliance Mother's Day Card

Welcome to the Team Stamp It April Blog Hop. We’re featuring a host of Mother’s Day and spring card and project ideas. Be sure to visit each blog on the hop and leave a comment for the chance to win a free card kit. Use the hashtag #stampitcontest. We love hearing from you and hope we’ve inspired you in some way.

My card today features the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set with the emboss resist technique. This big butterfly background stamp and its coordinating dies are available as a sneak peek product from Stampin’ Up! Look for them in the new upcoming 2021-2022 Annual Catalog that goes live May 4. Buy them as a bundle and save 10 percent.

Butterfly Brilliance Mother's Day Card

Butterfly Brilliance Mother’s Day Card

The emboss resist technique provides awesome results. Here’s an outline of how this card comes together.

  • Place the Butterfly Brilliance stamp onto the Stampartus.
  • Ink the stamp with Versamark ink.
  • Stamp the image onto Basic White card stock.
  • Pour White Embossing Powder on the card. Shake off the excess.
  • Heat the image with the Heat Tool.
  • Choose an ink color. Use the Blending Brushes to apply ink to the image. With a paper towel, gently rub off excess ink. (I used the new In Color of Fresh Freesia.)
  • The images should “pop” on the paper leaving you with white butterflies.
  • Add any sentiment and embellishments you choose. For this, I embossed the Happy Mother’s Day sentiment from the Dressed to Impress stamp set in white on Basic Black card stock.

This card works for a variety of occasions. I can see it as a sympathy card, a birthday card, thinking of you, and more.

Maui Achievers Blog Hop: Congratulations, Graduate!

It’s time for the Maui Achievers Blog Hop, and I’m sharing a congratulations card for a graduate.

Maui Achievers Blog Hop

Welcome to our monthly Maui Achievers Blog Hop. We’re a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who have achieved the Stampin’ Up! bonus of the Maui trip. We celebrate this achievement by organizing a monthly hop which helps us to continue to inspire you creatively.

You may be starting here or have come from someone else’s blog – either way there’s a list at the end of this post to help you move around all the different blogs and get many amazing ideas. We all have our country listed – so if you’re looking for a demonstrator these are top demonstrators in their country and would love to help you with your Stampin’ Up! shopping or if you’d like to join our Stampin’ Up! teams.

Even though many schools have cancelled or postponed graduations, it’s still important to recognize the seniors. I’m sharing a graduation card featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Darling Label Punch Box. It’s an awesome “kit” that includes a six-piece, photopolymer stamp set with a great variety of sentiments, a clear stamp block, a punch, and two Stampin’ Spots. And, the best part: it’s packaged in a beautiful gold and Night of Navy tin, perfect for storing stamping supplies or for gifting.

Today’s Congratulations Card for Graduates

Maui Achievers Blog Hop: Congratulatios, Grad

This graduation card uses one stamp from the set – one perfect for celebrating graduates. I heat embossed it with silver and layered it on Silver Foil (die cut with the Stitched Shapes Die) and a Pearlized Doily. The background papers come from the 6 x 6 Neutrals Designer Series Paper pack.

One hint: I didn’t have any black ribbon so I colored the Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon with the Black Stampin’ Blend. You can use this trick with any of the blends and Stampin’ Up!’s Silver or Gold Metallic-Edge Ribbon.
