Beautiful Balloons Congrats Card

How are you liking Stampin’ Up!’s Beautiful Balloons Bundle? I find it fun and easy to work with. Look for it beginning on page 14 of the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.  Today, I share another free tutorial for creating a card with the elements from this suite of products. 

Beautiful Balloons Congrats

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

  • STAMPS – Beautiful Balloons Bundle (161457)
  • PAPER – Berry Burst Cardstock (144243) Thick Basic White Cardstock (1592296), Basic White Cardstock (159276), Bright & Beautiful 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper (161449)
  • INK – Bubble Bath (161664), Berry Burst (147143)
  • OTHER – Baker’s Twine Essential Pack (155475), Stampin’ Seal (152813), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653)

Cutting & Scoring:  

  • Berry Burst Cardstock – 3 ¼” x 4 ¾”, 4 ¼” x ¾”
  • Thick Basic White Cardstock – 8 ½” x 4 ¼”, scored at 4 ¼”
  • Basic White Cardstock – 3” x 2”
  • DSP – 4 ½” x 3”
  • White Bakers’ Twine – 6”

Instructions:

  • With the Thick Basic White Cardstock base folded in half, stamp the long ribbon stamp four times, staggering, with the Bubble Bath ink.
  • Attach the DSP to the Berry Burst 3 ¼” x 4 ¾” Cardstock. Glue all to card front, centering this piece.
  • Die cut the 4 ¼” x ¾” Berry Burst Cardstock with the fringe die. Attach to card front, as shown above.
  • Stamp the large balloon image with Bubble Bath ink on the 3” x 2” Basic White Cardstock. Stamp the “You Did It” sentiment directly on top of the balloon with Berry Burst ink.
  • Die cut the balloon.
  • Using Stamin’ Dimensionals, attach the balloon to the card front on top of the fringe.
  • Tie a bow with the White Baker’s Twine and attach it to the balloon with a Glue Dot.

My January calendar shows a ton of birthdays. I need to make a stack of cards and get them in the mail. I pulled out Stampin’ Up’s Blessings of Home stamp set, now available in the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog

Below, I offer a free tutorial and include 14 additional card samples using this stamp set and coordinating Flowers of Home Dies. Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

  • STAMPS – Blessings of Home (157390)
  • PAPER – Very Vanilla Card Stock (101650), Night of Navy Card Stock (100867
  • INK – Night of Navy (147110)
  • OTHER – Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder (152718), Stitched So Sweetly Dies (151690), Pearl Basic Jewels (144219), Night of Navy Stampin’ Bends Combo Pack (154891), Stampin’ Seal (152813), Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (144108), Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653)

Cutting & Scoring:  

  • Night of Navy – 8 ½” x 5 ½” scored at 4 ¼”, 4 ¼” x 3”
  • Very Vanilla – 5 ¼” x 4” (2), 4 ½” x 3 ¼”, 3 ¾” x ½”

Instructions:

  • Die cut the 4 ½” x 3 ¼” piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock with the scallop rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies that measures 4” x 3”.
  • Stamp the smaller flower bouquet from the Blessings of Home stamp set onto the above die cut piece with Night of Navy ink.
  • Use Stampin’ Seal to adhere this piece to the 4 ¼” x 3” piece of Night of Navy Card Stock.
  • Emboss one of the 5 ¼” x 4” piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Fold the Night of Navy base in half and adhere the embossed piece to the front of the card.
  • Add the stamped and layered image to the top of the card.
  • Stamp the birthday sentiment with Night of Navy ink on the 3 ¾” x ½” Very Vanilla Card Stock.
  • Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop this up on the card front near the bottom of the card as shown above.
  • Color three of the Pear Basic Jewels with the Night of Navy Dark Stampin’ Blends. Add them to the front of the card.
  • Stamp a portion of the flower image with Night of Navy ink onto the remaining Very Vanilla Card Stock. Adhere to the center of the card.

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

  • STAMPS – Sweet Strawberry Bundle (159523)
  • PAPER –Basic White (159276), Real Red (102482), Old Olive (100702), Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (DSP) (155426)
  • INK – Real Red (147084), Memento (132708)
  • OTHER –Mini Glue Dots (103683), Stampin’ Seal (152813), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels (146924)

Cutting & Scoring:  

  • Real Red – 8 ½” x 5 ½” scored at 4 ½”, 4 ½” x 3”
  • Basic White – 3 ¼” x 4 ¾”, 5 ¼” x 4”, 1” x 2 ¼”, and a scrap
  • Old Olive – scrap
  • DSP (black and white design) – 2 ¾” x 4 ¼”

Instructions:

  • Fold the 8 ½” x 5 ½” Real Red Card Stock in half.
  • Using adhesive of your choice, layer the DSP onto the 4 ½” x 3” Real Red Card Stock. Adhere this piece to the 3 ¼” x 4 ¾” Basic White Card Stock. Center this panel onto the Real Red Card Stock base.
  • With Real Red ink, stamp the birthday sentiment onto the 1” x 2 ¼” Basic White Card Stock. Adhere it to the top of the card, as shown above with Stampin’ Seal or Mini Glue Dots.
  • Stamp the strawberry outline on a Basic White scrap with Memento Ink. With Real Red ink, stamp the strawberry “body” or solid image in the center of the black outline.
  • Stamp the stem outline with Memento ink onto the Old Olive scrap.
  • Punch both the strawberry and the stem with the Strawberry Builder Punch.
  • Use a Mini Glue Dot to attach the stem to the strawberry.
  • Place Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the strawberry and place on card, as shown above, hovering around the sentiment.
  • Scatter three Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels on the card front.
  • Attach the remaining Basic White piece to the inside of the card.

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

  • STAMPS – Hats Off Bundle (158361)
  • PAPER –Basic White (159276), Misty Moonlight (153081), 2020-2022 6 x 6 In Color Designer Series Paper Assortments (DSP) (155230)
  • INK – Misty Moonlight (153118), Bumblebee (153116), Memento (132708)
  • OTHER –Mini Glue Dots (103683), Stampin’ Seal (152813), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653)

Cutting & Scoring:  

  • Misty Moonlight – 11 x 4 ¼” scored at 5 ½”, 3 ¾” x 3 ¾” (2)
  • Basic White – 5 ¼” x 4” (2)
  • DSP (Bumblebee design) – 3 ½” x 3 ½” & ½” x ½”

Instructions:

  • Fold the 11” x 4 ½” Misty Moonlight card stock in half.
  • Stamp the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink near the bottom of the Basic White card stock. Use the Bumblebee ink to stamp three stars near the sentiment, as shown in the sample above.
  • Using Stampin’ Seal, glue the white piece to the Misty Moonlight base.
  • Attach one of the 3 ¼” x 3 ¼” Misty Moonlight pieces on top of the white, at the top, leaving an equal edge on the top and sides.
  • Center the DSP on top of the Misty Moonlight piece.
  • Stamp the hat from the Hats Off Bundle in Memento Ink on the remaining Misty Moonlight card stock.
  • Die cut the hat and the star from the Misty Moonlight and the crest from the small DSP.
  • Add the star to the crest and adhere all to the hat with Mini Glue Dots.
  • Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to “pop” the hat up on the card front.
  • Stamp a star with Bumblebee ink on the remaining 5 ¼” x 4” Basic White card stock piece.
  • Adhere to the inside of the card.

It’s that time of year where we anxiously await the debut of Stampin’ Up!’s new Annual Catalog. But, we also mourn the loss of some of our favorite products. (Some things must go to make room for more!)

  • INK – Misty Moonlight Ink Pad (153118),
  • OTHER- Boho Indigo Product Medley (153132), Double Oval Punch (154252), Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder (152718), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Stampin’ Seal  (152813)          

Cutting & Scoring:  

  • Very Vanilla Thick  – 11” x 4 ¼”, score and  fold at 5 ½”,
  • Very Vanilla – 5 ¼” x 4”, 2” x 3 ½” scrap (2)
  • Misty Moonlight – Scraps
  • Designer Series Paper – 3” x 3”          

Instructions:

  • Emboss the Very Vanilla panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.
  • Glue the DSP to the embossed panel, leaving an equal border along the top and sides.
  • Add a 5 ½” length of the gold ribbon immediately below the bottom of the DSP. Adhere to the card base.
  • Stamp the sentiment and the vase using Misty Moonlight ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. Punch the sentiment with Double Oval Punch. Use the scallop portion of the punch to punch the Misty Moonlight layer for the sentiment.
  • Die-cutting – Die-cut one Misty Moonlight sprig and one Gold Foil sprig. Die-cut the vase with the corresponding die.
  • Adhere the two sprigs to the back of the vase. Dimensional the vase in place.
  • Afix the sentiment oval to the scalloped oval. Add this unit to the card front with dimensionals.
