Inked Botanicals for Fall
For today’s card, I used a handful of different Stampin’ Up! products. Here’s a list to help you get started.
Calypso Coral base measuring 8 1/2 x 4 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
Leaves from Season of Chic stamp set (Annual Catalog) stamped in the coordinating colors of Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral, and Lost Lagoon and die cut with Chic Dies.
Sentiment stamped from Pick of the Patch Bundle (available beginning September 6, 2023, from Stampini’ Up!’s September-December 2023 Mini Catalog) stamped in Lost Lagoon on Very Vanilla card stock.
Calypso Coral 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim (available beginning September 6, 2023, from Stampini’ Up!’s September-December 2023 Mini Catalog) .
Lost Lagoon Gems from Tinsel Gems Three-Pack (Annual Catalog).
I love all of the designs in the Inked Botanicals 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. But I saved this design to use specifically on fall-themed cards. The leaves and colors lend themselves well for this. I hope you agree!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to leave a comment. You could win a Confetti Birthday Card Kit.
Congrats to last month’s winner: Karen Halterman

I pulled together two stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!’s 2021-2022 Annual Catalog to create this Thanksgiving card — Beauty of Friendship and Banner Year. The card goes together easily and quickly. Enjoy the free tutorial below.
INK – Cajun Craze (147085), Early Espresso (147114)
OTHER – Stitched Rectangle Dies (151820), Gold 3/8” Fine Art Ribbon (154561), Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels (151193), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Stampin’ Seal (152813), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Paper Snips Scissors (103579), Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653)
Cutting & Scoring:
Basic White – 8 ½” x 5 ½” scored at 4 ¼”, 5 ¼” x 4”, 3 ¾” x 2 ½”
Gold Foil – ¼” x 5 ¼” (2)
DSP – 5 ¼” x 1 ½”
Ribbon – 4”
Instructions:
Die cut the 3 ¾” x 2 ½” Basic White Card Stock with the Stitched Rectangle Die that measures approximately 2 ¼’ x 3 ½”
Stamp the tree trunk/branches image with Early Espresso ink onto the die cut rectangle.
With Cajun Caze ink, stamp the large, more solid-looking foliage stamp on top of the trunk, creating a tree image. Set aside.
Choose the “Happy Thanksgiving” sentiment from the Banner Year stamp set and stamp with Cajun Craze ink in the bottom, right-hand corner of the 5 ¼” x 4” piece of Basic White card stock.
Tape the DSP piece (pattern shown above) to the 5 ¼” x 4” Basic White card stock, with the top edge about 1 ½” down from the top. Add each Gold Foil strip, one on top of the DSP and one on the bottom. These are nudged close to the DSP, but do not overlap.
Fold the 8 ½” x 5 ½” Basic White card stock in half. Adhere the 5 ¼” x 4” stamped and decorated piece on top of this.
Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the tree piece and place on the card front, on the left-hand side.
Tie a knot in the ribbon and place on the tree image with a Glue Dot. Trim ribbon as necessary.
Add three Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Beauty of Friendship for Fall Card
My card uses Stampin’ Up!’s Beauty of Friendship stamp set and coordinating Beautiful Trees Dies. Buy them as a bundle and save 10 percent. Find these on page 11 of Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Catalog. (Hint: When you purchase this bundle you qualify for a free SaleABration item — through September 30. You could choose the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper I used on today’s card.)
Fall cards offer the perfect time to bring out the baby wipe technique. That’s how I created the multi-colored foliage image of the tree.
Baby Wipe Technique
This technique is super fun and super easy. Lay a couple of baby wipes on a flat surface. Stampin’ Up!’s Silicone Mat works well as does wax paper. Drip drops of ink from Stampin’ Up!’s reinkers onto the baby wipes. I used fall colors I like such as Mango Melody, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, and Cajun Craze. The ink spreads as you randomly drop the ink onto the wipe. Be sure to fill in any blank spots.
Then, press your stamp onto the baby wipes, using it as an ink pad. Then stamp the image onto your card stock. You can reuse this “pad” many times to make the most out of your ink. I often move the stamp around on the wipe to get different color patterns. Be sure to experiment with different colors and patterns to get the look you like.
Ink Spritzing
Ink spritzing is another fun technique. I love the sparkle of the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper. (Get it free with a $50 purchase — before tax and shipping — during SaleABration while supplies last). But, I wanted a different color. So I added it myself.
I poured 91 percent rubbing alcohol into one of Stampin’ Up!’s spritzers and added six drops of Cajun Craze reinker. Then, I sprayed my thin strips of Be Dazzling paper. Just think of all the different colors you could use!
Be sure to watch the below video to see how this card came together.

I chose this stamp set because of its versatility. It includes sentiments for everything from Halloween, to fall, to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day.
Banner Year Halloween Card
First up is the Halloween card. It also uses Stampin’ Up!’s Magic in This Might Designer Series Paper and the Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder.
Banner Year Fall Card
Here’s the fall card. In addition to the Banner Year stamp set, I paired it with the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper. (I must tell you. This paper is gorgeous. I hated to use it!)
Banner Year Holiday Card
And, here’s the holiday card. I added the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper and the 3/8-inch Red Ribbon.
