Playful Alphabet Halloween Card

My card features a host of products and a fun technique, most importantly the rubbing alcohol and Stampin’ Blends technique. I love the results this technique produces. See this additional blog post for other examples of this.

Rubbing Alcohol and Stampin’ Blends Technique

Here are some basic directions to achieve this cool background.

  • Scribble or color with your choice of Stampin’ Blends on a piece of Stampin’ Up!’s vellum.
  • Pour some 91 percent Isopropyl Alcohol into a small container.
  • Dip a paint brush into the alcohol and drip and/or touch the liquid to the colored markings.
  • Watch it do its magic or use a straw or your breath to move the colors around.
  • Let it dry.
  • Once the vellum is dry, I adhere a piece of Stampin’ Up!’s Adhesive Sheets to the back of the vellum.
  • I remove the adhesive backing and attach it to a piece of card stock. The example above shows Basic White.
  • For today’s card, I die cut the piece with a layer from the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
  • Use the piece any way you like!

I also used a few other products to complete this design:

Here’s a quick video to help you understand the process.

Flowers for Every Season Christmas

Welcome to Team Stamp It’s Blog Hop! Thanks for joining us. This hop showcases Christmas in July with products found in Stampin’ Up!’s 2020-2021 Annual Catalog and the upcoming August-December 2020 Mini Catalog (formerly the Holiday Catalog). Be sure to visit all of the hops to get a host of creative ideas. Leave a comment with the hashtag #stampitcontest. You could win a Looking Up Card Kit.The list of hoppers follows the information about the card.

Flowers for Every Season Christmas Card

Flowers for Every Season Christmas

I had a goal: to create a holiday/Christmas card with just the products available in the Annual Catalog. The Flowers for Every Season 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper works well. Just like it’s name, it offers designs suitable for each of the four seasons. This holiday themed piece features poinsettias and the In Colors of Just Jade and Marvelous Magenta.

I also used Stampin’ Up!’s Word Wishes Dies, Shimmery White card stock, and the adhesive sheets (makes it so easy to adhere the message to the front of the card).

Bonus Days in Progress

For each $50 purchase (before tax and shipping) through August 3, receive a $5 Bonus Code to be used beginning August 4. No limit to the number of codes you can earn and redeem. That’s free product! Stampin’ Up! delivers the code via email, so be sure to have a working email on file with your account. Save the codes in a safe place so they’re easy to use in August. These codes come at a great time. You’ll be able to use the credit on product from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. It’s full of fun and exclusive paper crafting supplies for Halloween, fall, Thanksgiving, winter, Christmas, and Valentine’s day.

Thanks for stopping by and participating in the hop. Be sure to visit all the blogs and leave a comment to have a chance to win a Looking Up Card Kit.

Congrats to last month’s winner:

It’s a Beautiful World

Sharing a card using Stampin’ Up!’s Beautiful World stamp set.

It's a Beautiful World

What do you do when you have a pile of scraps left over from making another card? You gather the scraps and create a different card.

That’s how this card came about. As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I preordered the World of Good Suite from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. I made a masculine card for the Team Stamp It Blog Hop. See that card here.

I had a pile of “scraps” and things that looked like I could use them for something purposeful.

It’s a Beautiful World

Beautiful World Stamp Set

Take a look at the World of Good Suite. It starts on page 24 of the catalog and includes a host of fun products

  • Beautiful World stamp set
  • World Map Dies
  • World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder
  • Faux Suede Trim
  • Brass Foil Sheets

I didn’t use all of the above on this card, but I have all these ingredients to create more beauties.

If you haven’t yet received a hard copy of the catalog and you’re not currently working with another demonstrator, let me know and I’ll get one in the mail. In the meantime, see a PDF here.

With the launch of the new catalog there’s a lot going on.
